I've been saying a novena to St. Philomena to help me find a job, and at one part of the novena it says... "united to the merits of the passion and death of Jesus, thy Spouse,..." What does that mean when it says that she is His spouse? |

It is a poetic way of saying that God loves us as much as two married spouses love each other. |
