| Making Out |

| Q |
I figured that kissing my boyfriend isn't a sin, but what about making out? Not like hot n' heavy; just kissing while sorta stroking each other? Some slight fondling? Is it super bad to do somthing like that? |

Super bad and super good are separated by a very thin line--and that line is defined by consequences. Feelings of love are good; the temptation to sexual intimacy without the rights given in the commitment of marriage are not. "Slight" fondling is hard to put the brakes on. And, your brakes may be tuned up to a different capacity than your boyfriend's. It's ever so hard to speak with a boyfriend about these things that are oh so easy to DO...but that's what necessary. You need to state (not in the middle of a kiss, preferably) your concerns about where intimacy may lead and what it communicates and your values as a woman committed to virginity before marriage. Then the two of you, consulting both your consciences and your emotional boundaries can see more clearly what is "super bad" and what is acceptable. I wish you well in this discussion and discovery. |
