Please help me soon. I just finished reading this book by Joan Carroll Cruz, and am very worried. You see, I already knew that anything attempting to see the future was strictly condemned by the Catholic Church. But I remember that I have sort of tested hydromancy, geomancy, astrology, palmistry, horoscopes, etc.in the past because of stupid curiosity-I didn't realize how serious it was! I love being Catholic and value my faith more-but when I went to a party, one of my atheist friends took out a ouija board for "party fun." I felt scared and didn't want to participate, and told them that my faith made it impossible for me to touch it, but I told them I was curious and would just watch them do whatever they wanted! I swear that I don't believe in foretelling the future, but have my stupid curiosities caused me to mortally sin? Is it best that I go to confession? |

You didn't mortally sin. But in the future remember how bad you feel now and don't put yourself in this situation again! We are only asking for trouble when we dabble in that sort of thing. |
