Marriage

Q What exactly are the rules of marrying someone outside of the Catholic religion in the Catholic church?

A When a Catholic and a non-Catholic marry in the Church, they obtain a dispensation that allows them to get married even though they do not share the same religion. The Catholic party promises to continue living as a Catholic and to educate the children in the Catholic faith. Everything else, except the reception of Holy Communion if there is a wedding Mass, is the same as a marriage between two Catholics.
