Dear Wondering,
Every human being deserves complete and total respect as a creation of God, someone God wanted in the world for a special reason. Abuse is NOT that reason, I'm sure.
There are people who think that abuse is a way to "keep people in line" and that this is their job. Well, they're WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
The Catholic Church itself has many, many places to help heal the pain of those who are abused. The Church loves and blesses your mother for being one of those who expresses her faith in action by assisting victims of abuse. Perhaps you could help, too! |
