Apostles

Q I am researching the orginial twelve disciples and I would like information on each of their occupations when they were called by Christ.

A

Dear Latasha,

John's Gospel tells us that six of the apostles (Peter, Andrew, James, John, Thomas and Nathaniel - also known as Bartholomew) were fishermen.  Matthew was a tax collector.  We do not know the occupations of the others but we do know that Simon and Judas were active in the political party called the Zealots.
