Think!

Today’s readings are all about getting you going this Advent. Getting you stoked for the birth of Jesus. Stepping it up for the Christ child. So what do the readings say? Watch. No, that’s what they say….watch. But this isn’t the numbed out on the sofa with the remote watching. This is the completely off the hook backstage-pass-looking-for-my-fave-celeb watching. This Advent, we are called to be alert and watch for God’s coming – in our world, in our lives, and in our hearts. Where will you see God this Advent? Take out a piece of paper or go to your computer and write down these words in large, easily readable letters: “Watch for Him.” Now print. Tape the paper in the back of your locker as a reminder to stay alert during Advent. Make comments on it or keep a tally score of all the times you see God at work around you between now and Christmas.
