Annunciation of Mary
The announcement made to the Virgin Mary by Archangel Gabriel (Luke 1:26-38) that she was to become the Mother of
Jesus and her acceptance of the will of God are known as the Annunciation. The act of declaring the Incarnation of the Son of God is celebrated by the feast of March 25 in the Church calendar. It is also, and more precisely called, Annunciation of the Lord.
